Okay, we are stepping BEYOND the website. We're not exactly shelving the website, but looking at ways it can be supportive to your business. Don't give up on me yet: When we think beyond a website, it's thinking about the connectedness like the internet is; but in other ways. We've previously touched on looking at socials, or adding blogs, but let's look at three ways you can build connection.
Brand Connection
This is how you apply your brand outside of your online existence.
Does your branding match what is seen online? Your visuals, your colours, your font choices should all match and be recognised as uniquely you. When you see a brand in the wild, you expect it to look the same online - your brain literally expects to connect the dots. You bgin to lose integrity when the dots don't connect.Email Marketing
Connecting via their inbox, not via your website. Staying connected via a newsletter or sales update is how you will reach your previous buyers or ongoing clients.Printed products
These could be brochures, flyer cards, business cards, stickers, or even signwriting on a vehicle - all advertising your business and bringing them to your website. Always aim to pop your website on anything you print (or post online) if you can!
What can you do beyond your website?
Brainstorm some ideas on what you could do outside of your website... maybe it's time to make flyers! Or maybe, joining a local community network group could help. You could look at doing fun things too: promo swag (totes, bottles etc), or stickers, or even sponsor a fundraising spot at a sports club!
